The 10 most beautiful hotels in Haute-Savoie

What are the most beautiful hotels in Haute Savoie? From Mont Blanc to Lake Geneva, from Evian to Annecy, Yonder’s approved selection.

1. Armancette, Saint-Gervais | Relaxation and cocooning

Open all year round in the heights of Saint-Gervais, the 5-star hotel Armancette is an upscale, friendly and relaxed establishment that offers the double benefit of access to the huge Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area and a quiet, authentic village to return to at the end of the day. In the peaceful hamlet of Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, the hotel is just 100 metres from a ski lift, and in summer, hiking and mountain biking are on your doorstep.

L'Armancette

This Haute Savoie hotel is distinguished by its sober, uncluttered decor, with wooden furniture in the rooms and rare marble from all five continents in the bathrooms. Built on the site of a former bakery, L'Armancette is home to a tea/pastry room that still offers bread, viennoiseries and fine cakes made by the in-house baker for hotel guests and village residents. The gastronomic restaurant La Table d'Armante offers an open kitchen and a short menu, inviting you to discover Alpine flavors revisited in "natural" recipes.

What are the rooms like? The 19 rooms are all different, but all share the same use of parquet flooring, cozy carpets, fur plaids and huge, ultra-comfortable beds, as well as furnished balconies - a modern reinterpretation of mountain style without the heaviness. The hotel also offers three large, upscale chalets just up the hill: Aster & Spa, Carline and Silène.

L’Armancette

Why do we love them? The huge spa, given the size of the hotel, which can be used by guests at no extra charge. It boasts an indoor/outdoor pool as well as two outdoor Jacuzzis and one indoor granite one, plus a hammam, sauna and three treatment rooms. The highlight is the sun terrace with deckchairs overlooking Mont Blanc. Guests can also take advantage of the cosy library with board games, and store their equipment in the warmth of the ski room.
