The place: on Noonu atoll, north of Malé. The hotel is reached in 45 minutes aboard a taupe and yellow Cheval Blanc seaplane.
Just ten years after its inauguration, the resort of the LVMH Group's luxury hotel brand remains one of the most refined addresses in the Indian Ocean, and certainly the most beautiful hotel in the Maldives. Randheli consists of a main island housing the restaurants, fitness center, kids' club and a handful of villas, and four other islands created from several hundred tons of sand pumped into the lagoon. The vegetation has largely taken possession of these islets, where you can cycle along shady paths to your villa.
This world-beginning environment is home to some forty airy villas designed by Jean-Michel Gathy. Island Villa directly on the beach, Water Villa on stilts or Garden Villa half on the sand and half on the water, Horizon Villa at the end of the pontoon... the accommodations all feature a 12 m long swimming pool in black stone, large volumes (the ceiling peaks at 7 meters...) and an elegant decor in the spirit of a tropical loft. 2. Constance Moofushi
The location: on Ari Sud atoll, 25 minutes by plane from Malé, the second address of the Mauritian hotel group Constance Hotels is surrounded by three large lagoons and a coral garden. A paradise for lovers of underwater discoveries.

3. Joali Being
The location: in the heart of Raa atoll, on Bodufushi island, a 40-minute flight from Malé.
As its name suggests, Joali Being is a new resort dedicated entirely to well-being, and one of the best-equipped spa hotels in the Maldives. Like its big brother, the magnificent Joali on the same atoll, but on the island of Muravandhoo, Joali Being stands out for the refinement of its architecture, which emerges from the coconut palms and arcs over the lagoon. 4. One&Only Reethi Rah
The location:on the North Malé atoll, 15 minutes by air from the capital and 50 minutes by speedboat.
Fifteen years after its opening, this jewel of the One&Only chain remains one of the most luxurious addresses in an archipelago that is nonetheless full of them. If true luxury is space, then Reethi Rah ticks all the boxes of the dream Maldivian spa hotel. Its 129 villas are spread over one of the country's largest islands (44 hectares), offering guests no fewer than twelve beaches, each more heavenly than the last. The size of the island means that the location of the superb, very spacious villas (135m2 for the smallest) designed by architect Jean-Michel Gathy, a specialist in the destination, can be varied. They nestle beneath the vegetation, in the heart of the islet, on the beaches and, of course, on stilts planted in the lagoon.

5. Club Med Kani
The location: on the Malé North atoll, the village of Kani is just a few minutes by boat from the capital of the Maldives.
Fringed by a 2-kilometre-long beach, Kani rightly claims to be a garden island. The bungalows, which house rooms and suites with sea views, some with a small pool surrounded by a teak pontoon, are nestled under particularly lush vegetation. The colorful, cheerful interior design is practical, with connecting rooms for up to 6 guests.
