The most beautiful hotels in Megève

1. Les Chalets du Mont d'Arbois by Beyond Places, for a family atmosphere tinged with exclusive luxury

Les Chalets du Mont d'Arbois, managed by Beyond Places, has its origins in Chalet Noémie, once the private residence of the Rothschild family in Megève. Their genesis dates back to 1919, when Noémie de Rothschild, an inspired visionary, commissioned a local specialist to find her a site capable of rivaling the haloed peaks of Saint-Moritz... From the moment you arrive, you'll feel the charm of a family home with a hushed atmosphere, where you'll be welcomed as if among friends. With its three chalets - Noémie, Ève and Alice - the Megève hotel offers 40 rooms and suites ranging from 21 to 140 m². The decor blends traditional Savoyard architecture with pure luxury. Noble materials and works of art adorn the finely carved mountain woodwork of luxurious suites where everything is perfect, calibrated to provoke a gentle, reassuring emotion.

The Noémie and Alice chalets can be privatized, offering access to personalized hotel services. Located less than two kilometers from the center of Megève and close to the Mont d'Arbois gondola, the chalets offer a gateway to the vast Espace Évasion ski area and its 445 kilometers of snow-covered slopes: it's easy to imagine the winter panoramas, the white expanse, the idea of adventure that all this contains.

On the gastronomic front, the bistronomic restaurant Héritage is run by chef Marc-Henri Mazure, renowned for his bold and generous regional cuisine. And then there's the rest, where the art of living reaches its apogee: the 5-star hotel features a wellness area bathed in light that is none other than one of Megève's finest spas. Designed by Susanne Kaufmann to evoke the aesthetics of Greek temples, it opens onto an indoor and outdoor pool, a Kids Club, a bar and a peaceful terrace. The location is ideal: just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to preserve a certain serenity, yet close enough that you never feel isolated. In summer, the golf course at the foot of the chalets. In winter, the ski slopes are just 200 meters away.

2. Lodge Park, Canadian air at the heart of this luxury hotel in Megève

In the center of the village, where every chalet rivals for originality, the Lodge Park, recently promoted to 5-star status, manages to stand out thanks to its stone and log lodge architecture evoking the ambience of the Rockies. The third property in the Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet portfolio, run by Jocelyne and Jean-Louis Sibuet and their children, this rustic-chic hotel has become a truly elegant pied-à-terre. Just a 5-minute walk from the Chamois chairlift, this luxury mountain hotel offers an ideal location for a snow vacation.

With the completion of its second and final phase of renovation in December 2025, the address signs its total muse as a luxury hotel in Megève with an assertive temperament. The common areas immerse guests in a traditional Canadian cabin, with furniture made from deer antlers, animal skins, vintage objects and redwood trunk tables. The 49 rooms and suites, on the other hand, evoke the Scottish Highlands, with tartans, warm woods and sheepskins.

The Deluxe Room (25 m², mountain view) is a cosy double room. Light glides in from the mountains, adding that extra touch of Megève soul. The bathroom has a shower, and a crib can be added. The Lodge Cabin (43 m², village and mountain view) is on the fifth and top floor, reached after a few steps, as if climbing to a refuge. Under the roof, with its exposed beams and attic space, it overlooks the village and its bell tower, while opening out onto the mountains. The atmosphere, both intimate and luminous, gives the impression of a perched nest where you can contemplate the summits without leaving your bed. The bathroom has a shower and bath, separate WC and a large dressing room. Cot available.

Suites are available in three categories, from 39 m² to 75 m². Each one is cozy and cocooning to perfection, and features a crackling fireplace to create an irresistible ambience.

The Master Suite features two separate but perfectly complementary spaces. On one side, a 25 m² bedroom with en-suite bathroom, generous dressing room and balcony; on the other, a cosy living room with fireplace and bar area. The double exposure offers a contrasting picture between the village bell tower and the relief of Mont d'Arbois and Rochebrune. The living room, equipped with a sofa bed, can easily become a bedroom for two children. The bathroom features a double washbasin, shower and bathtub. A cot can be added on request.

The Presidential Suite is the ultimate in comfort. It includes a master bedroom with king-size bed, fireplace, dressing room and bathroom with shower and bathtub, as well as a children's bedroom with single bed and dedicated bathroom. The spacious living room, warmed by a fireplace, can accommodate an extra bed for a second child. Two balconies overlook the village and mountains, extending this refined atmosphere. A cot can also be installed.

A carnivore's paradise, the Beef Lodge sublimates cuts of meat from the best farms by cooking them in an Argentinian oven, while the Lodge Bar, dressed in logs, tanned leather and Ralph Lauren fabrics, becomes the epicenter of elegant après-ski for a drink by the fire. It's the place to meet up with friends in a trendy atmosphere to sample the incredible cocktail menu served in tiki glasses, while sharing melted cheddar nachos and truffle pizzeta.

On the wellness front, the Pure Altitude Spa, with its Nordic decor blending cedar, natural stone and bubbling water, boasts 1,000 m² of exclusive facilities, including a 12-meter indoor pool, hammam, dry and infrared sauna, Kneipp bath, sensory shower, ice room and Himalayan salt room. Mountain plant treatments in the five cabins are complemented by longevity tools such as cryotherapy, hyperbaric chamber, cryolipolysis, photobiomodulation, EMS and pressotherapy to enhance energy, tone and overall body well-being.

3. L'Alpaga, Megève, a Beaumier Hotel, a typical hamlet

Away from the center of Megève, L'Alpaga recreates the authentic atmosphere of an Alpine hamlet while cultivating a contemporary, elegant aesthetic. Comprising 10 fully renovated chalets, this 5-star Megève hotel by Beaumier Hotels evokes a typical alpine village, with its sloping roofs, wooden balconies and terraces overlooking the Val d'Arly. The 26 rooms and 7 suites, spread over four chalets, offer generous spaces, with some suites featuring private kitchens, ideal for stays with family or friends. For greater intimacy, private chalets, accommodating 8 to 12 people, offer exceptional settings.

Wellness takes center stage with a spa featuring a full-service spa featuring a massage jet pool, a wood-fired sauna, an outdoor Swedish bath, and a heated outdoor pool with views of Mont Blanc. An indoor pool, a fully equipped fitness room, and a tailor-made treatment program using Holidermie and Maison Caulières products complete the offering. A Day Spa package including a treatment, breakfast, and two hours' access to the spa is available to non-residents.

On the gastronomic side, the culinary experience is led by Alexandre Baule, a chef from Isère who has worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants. He creates local, plant-based cuisine that respects the seasons and the region, working directly with local artisans, producers, and potters. At La Table de l'Alpaga, awarded one Michelin star and open only in winter from Wednesday to Sunday, the dishes break with tradition by putting vegetables front and center. The more relaxed Bistrot de l'Alpaga is open for lunch and dinner all week long. The experience is enhanced by a discerning wine service, with a fine selection of wines from Savoie and Burgundy, as well as more obscure references chosen to complement the cuisine of the moment.

4. Les Fermes de Marie, for authenticity and refinement

Just a two-minute shuttle ride from the village, Les Fermes de Marie is a collection of traditional mazots, decorated to evoke the art of mountain living and the atmosphere of a large family home, with its crackling fireplace, books, pottery and hunting trophies. Except for one detail. You don't have a "Ferme de Beauté" with sauna, hammam, pools, swimming lanes and countless treatment rooms, nor two gourmet restaurants.

Building on the success of Les Fermes de Marie, the Sibuets created the Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet collection, which includes a dozen establishments in the mountains (Hôtel Mont-Blanc and Lodge Park also in Megève), in sunny Provence (La Bastide de Marie), on the Côte d'Azur (Villa Marie Saint-Tropez) or in the Caribbean (Gyp Sea Hotel in Saint-Barth).

The bonus: At Les Fermes de Marie, the stay is clearly geared towards families: rooms, suites, and chalets designed to accommodate young and old alike (spacious rooms, family configurations, dedicated beds and equipment), a kid's concierge, a dream kids' club, and a spa that also welcomes children.

5. Chalet Aneo by Le Collectionist

When house keys replace hotel keycards in Megève... Here are our favorite chalets, validated by YONDER editors from Le Collectionist's upscale selection. Chalet Aneo blends Savoyard charm with a precise idea of upscale comfort. Below, the rooftops of Megève. All around, the calm of a wooded residential area, a five-minute walk from the center. Inside, seven luminous bedrooms, a vast living room where you can gather around the stove, a dining room extended by a terrace, and a garden level entirely dedicated to well-being. For here, days often begin with a few lengths in the heated indoor pool or a moment in the sauna, while breakfast is prepared upstairs.

Further down, the resort awakens: the ski lifts are just a few minutes away by car or private shuttle, and the more adventurous can even put on their skis 200 meters away, depending on snow conditions. In the afternoon, you can alternate between the slopes, the village's shop windows, an in-home wine tasting, or a snowshoe walk with a private guide. And when the weather's fine, it's time for guided hikes, paragliding or electric mountain biking in the mountain pastures.

In the evening, a chef can take over the kitchen to prepare a tailor-made dinner, while the kids transform the gym into a mini-disco or settle down in the playroom. And for special occasions, everything can be orchestrated on site: culinary workshop, family event or weekend with friends - the Collectionist team takes care of everything, right down to the ski fitting in the living room.

Nothing has been left to chance: the furniture is comfortable without being intrusive, the materials tastefully chosen, and each room has its own bathroom, some with a view of the surrounding forests. Light flows everywhere, the atmosphere remains soft, and you can feel that this chalet has been designed for tribal stays.

What makes the difference? The location, close enough to the center to do everything on foot, but in a quiet setting. The level of facilities, worthy of a five-star hotel, with hammam, massage room and heated ski room. And above all, that rare feeling of being "at home", effortlessly. A mountain refuge at its best.

6. Chalet Eugénia by Le Collectionist

It's impossible to pass by without looking up: Chalet Eugénia by Le Collectionist stands like an obvious landmark at the summit of Mont d'Arbois. This 500 m² building, designed for 14 travelers with its 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, plays a balancing act between Savoyard rusticity and contemporary aplomb. Blonde wood panelling, assertive wall art, ample volumes and plenty of light: everything here has been designed to delight the senses... and the souvenir photo.

Special mention must be made of the arched sofa, a veritable landing strip for aperitifs with friends or long conversations in front of the fire.

The indoor swimming pool, where you can swim against the current, is no gimmick: it's an endorphin corridor, extended by an XXL spa where no less than 4 jacuzzis and 5 saunas await you. In the evening, curtain up on the mountains, projector up on the big screen: the cinema room makes you forget the slopes... until the next day. After all, skiing here is door-to-door: equipment fitting at the chalet and an instructor just for you (on request) if the call of the powder is pressing.

And because a stay in Megève doesn't stop at the lifts, the Collectionist's concierge service can put the finishing touches to every moment: electric mountain biking or supervised hikes in summer, paragliding for the more adventurous, snowshoeing just for two, or culinary excursions at home: wine tastings, cooking workshops and dinners prepared by a private chef (included in the stay). Even personalized events can be tailor-made.

What makes the difference? A 180° view of Mont d'Arbois, a ski room calibrated for a whole tribe, and a spa designed like a health resort.

7. Cœur de Megève, to sleepin the heart of the village

Opening in 2019 in the heart of the village, 150 m from the gondolas, the Cœur de Megève boutique hotel combines design, social life, relaxation, a festive atmosphere and easy access to the ski slopes... one of our favorite! This 4-star hotel with 38 rooms and suites with terraces and balconies has the advantage of being located on the village's pedestrian street, a stone's throw from the Place de l'Église, chic boutiques and art galleries. From the moment you enter, you'll notice Sybille de Margerie's design, which twists mountain vocabulary - wood galore, cozy fireplaces, wool cushions, tweed pouffes - and makes it resolutely contemporary, cozy and timeless.

Après-ski is celebrated here in the Le Meige cocktail bar, and spa treatments are by the American organic brand Tata Harper, renowned for the quality of its 100% natural products and only available in only a few hotels in France.

Good to know? The hotel has its own restaurant, Beefbar, where the best meats from around the world are showcased.

Coeur de Megève
38 rooms and suites. From €380 per night in winter and €115 in summer.

8. Hôtel Mont-Blanc

Right in the center of the village, the Hôtel Mont-Blanc is also one of the addresses in the Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet collection (Les Fermes de Marie, Lodge Park). This explains the sophisticated interiors of this 4-star mountain hotel, which exudes a hushed, English club atmosphere. 38 keys, offering the perfect balance between a family-run, intimate mountain hotel and a luxury establishment where you can enjoy a stay in complete privacy.

The wellness area, branded “Pure Altitude,” offers a true immersion in the frosty alpine landscape surrounding it: like a sterile igloo where you feel alone in the world, it provides a unique opportunity for relaxation. An indoor pool under a glass roof for an even more immersive experience, a jacuzzi, sauna, and treatment rooms to prolong the moment... We love its originality!

As for Le Relais restaurant, it plays the chic bistro card. Switzerland, Savoie, and Italy come together in gourmet, comforting mountain dishes: macaroni with Fribourg vacherin cheese, Swiss fondue, diots in white wine, cep and chestnut soup... which are a pleasure to enjoy after an aperitif at Les Enfants Terribles, the hotel's champagne bar. A sure bet, the best 4-star hotel in Megève.

9. Zannier Le Chalet Zannier, a designer hotel in Megève

Le Chalet Zannier is all about design and understated luxury. The three traditional chalets that make up the 5-star hotel have just 12 rooms and suites. They are the epitome of an intimate retreat, where waxed concrete, charcoal gray and clean lines are illuminated by bay windows. Every bed has a view of the snowfields or the resort.

Each guest is greeted by the hotel manager in person for a bespoke but never familiar family service. Minimalist design, great comfort, exclusive service and discretion are the watchwords of the place, complemented by the gourmet and sensible restaurant La Ferme de mon Père, and a beautiful spa area with indoor pool. Zannier Le Chalet? the most contemporary of all Megève hotels.

Housed in a historic building dating from 1901, the Grand Hotel du Soleil d'Or's decor is halfway between cozy and brocante chic, with antique furniture, warm, intimate spaces and rooms that accentuate the idea of a romantic hotel.

In the common areas, you can enjoy a hot chocolate at La Chocolaterie, meet up on the rooftop on the top floor - which recreates a cobbled Megève street with a view of the church steeple - or enjoy bistronomic specialties in the hotel's"dining room". As for the indoor swimming pool in the basement, it's quite simply one of the most visual in Megève.

12. Four Seasons Hotel Megève, feel like living the palace life

It's no coincidence that Four Seasons often features in rankings of the world's finest hotels. The Four Seasons Megève, the resort's only palace-level hotel, is located at the foot of the slopes, on Mont d'Arbois, some ten kilometers from the village. Luxurious, super-comfortable and tastefully decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon, it is studded with custom-commissioned works of art and objects from the collections of the Rothschild family, who own the hotel and invested a whopping 100 million euros to bring it off the ground!

It houses the Kaito Japanese fusion restaurant, a sumptuous spa covering over 1,000 m² (one of the largest in the French Alps) and a huge heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Families won't be left out either, with a Kids Club and an anthology Teen Zone (video games, table soccer, home cinema, mixer...) in an atmosphere worthy of Blade Runner.
