1. Les Fermes de Marie Pure Altitude Spa

The pitch? A true pioneer in mountain spas, the Pure Altitude Spa at Les Fermes de Marie is still the place to be! In 1990, the Sibuet family inaugurated the mountain spa concept. Under the impetus of Jocelyne Sibuet, the "Ferme de Beauté" concept was developed, giving rise to the Pure Altitude brand in 2000. Under this name, the Fermes de Marie spa covers 1,000m2 and offers 14 treatment rooms, including a double cabin. Treatments are based on mountain plants and natural active ingredients, including the signature Alp-Cells Repair treatment with gold leaf. The Alpine Energy Ritual combines manual maneuvers with the use of linen bundles filled with Alpine salts and plants to relax and rebalance the body. To nourish and repair the skin, the Candle Ritual wraps the body in gentle warmth, diffusing Pure Altitude's signature Fleurs de Neige fragrance.

What do we particularly like? The indoor and outdoor saunas, jacuzzis, Japanese baths, wood-fired Nordic bath and both indoor and outdoor pools, Technogym fitness room and hair salon.

And what's more? The zen-like atmosphere created by the wood, water and stone surroundings.

Good to know? Please note that the spa's wellness area (pools, jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, etc.) is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Guests from outside the hotel can only access the treatment rooms (by appointment).

Find out more about Les Fermes de Marie? A hamlet of mountain farms

The hotel, set in a two-hectare park, is made up of nine hundred-year-old farmhouses that have been dismantled and reassembled according to the rules of the trade, and linked together. The result: 70 rooms, including 10 suites and 5 children's rooms, where the common denominator is the warmth of old wood. Particularly noteworthy is the traditional restaurant, with its hearty dishes such as supreme of free-range chicken with truffle cream and Beaufort gratin, or the unmissable coquillettes with truffles and ham.

The hotel also has a Children's Hamlet. During the school vacations, play areas are set up for all ages. There's even a dining room for our little ones, with a workshop where they can take cooking classes.

2. The Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Megève

The pitch? This 900 m² hotel spa, one of the most beautiful spa hotels in France, offers six treatment rooms, including a double room with bathtub and private sensory shower. White is on display in all its forms: ubiquitous marble, leather, fur cushions, daybeds... responding to the snowy landscape on the other side of the large bay windows framing the swimming pool. The pool, which extends outside, resembles a Roman bath with its large white columns and loungers.

What do we particularly like? The bold choice of skincare brands. Olivier Claire for the scientific expertise of a range of products with rare ingredients. The line's signature Alpine Recovery massage, designed with Face and Body Shaping expert Catherine Cerezo, provides immediate relief for tired, aching muscles. A selection of facial treatments promises radiant skin. QMS Medicosmetics facial treatments, developed by facial surgeon Dr. Schulte, feature collagen rituals for deep, long-lasting skin regeneration. Finally, sound treatment rituals are offered, offering moments of harmony and letting go to the sound of Tibetan bowls, for a complete wellness experience.

And what else? Sauna, steam room, fitness room and hairdressing salon.

Find out more about the hotel? Europe's first Four Seasons in the mountains

The Four Seasons Megève hotel is the result of a collaboration between the Canadian luxury brand and the powerful Rothschild family, who have been living in Megève for just over a century, and are the first to offer direct access to the slopes of Mont d'Arbois. In the 55 rooms, including 14 suites, the 1930s-style decor by Pierre-Yves Rochon features lots of wood and caramel tones, enlivened on the walls by Bali Ikats and works by Thierry Bruet. All rooms have balconies or terraces, and the three suites have fireplaces: a dream come true!

3. The Spa of Cœur de Megève | In collaboration with Tata Harper

The pitch? We fell in love with this spa, an intimate, relaxing cocoon in the center of the village. Located in the basement of the Cœur de Megève, right in the center of the village, the wood-clad spa houses two treatment rooms that can be transformed into a single duo treatment room, and is the first mountain spa in France from the Tata Harper brand. The resort's new spa, still little-known but increasingly sought-after for its exclusivity.

What do we particularly like? The choice of Tata Harper, still little represented in the mountains as in France (only three hotels to date). A firm believer in the green movement in the world of cosmetics, Tata Harper is a pioneer in this field in the United States. Ultra-concentrated in active ingredients, the products are handcrafted on a 500-hectare farm in Vermont. And, in keeping with fashionable codes, they are made from plants, 100% non-toxic, free from synthetic ingredients, Ecocert-certified and guaranteed not to be tested on animals. The best part? They are packaged in attractive green glass bottles. In the well-targeted care menu, we opt for the aptly named Winter Rescue: this nourishing treatment soothes cold-scarred skin in just 30 minutes.

But also? The nail bar, in addition to the sauna, sensory shower and herbal tea bar.

Find out more about Le Cœur de Megève? The rebirth of a legendary place

Reopened in December 2018 by interior designer Sybille de Margerie, the Cœur de Megève boasts an ultra-privileged location in the center of the resort, and consists of two joined chalets whose facades are covered in tavaillons: wooden tiles echoing Savoyard roofs. There are 39 rooms and suites, most with balconies and terraces. The decor is in keeping with the region: brushed walnut, Hainaut blue stone, spiced up with the bright colors of headboards and cushions: red, mustard yellow, emerald green, depending on the room. In the restaurant Le Beefbar, large bay windows open onto the street and the torrent. Co-created by Riccardo Giraudi, it offers top-quality meats, including American Black Angus, Australian beef and Japanese Kobe beef. At the end of the day, the cocktail bar, Le Meige, is a must for sipping house creations, gin pairings and other classic cocktails, escorted by plates to share.

5. Alpaga's Spa

The pitch? Set in a natural setting just outside the village, this spa boasts an indoor pool, hammam, relaxation room and gym. The Spa offers a range of treatments tailored to individual needs and desires, highlighting the expertise of Maison Caulières, renowned for its exceptional products inspired by the elements of nature. Treatments include a sports massage to prevent aches and pains after an intense day in the mountains, a draining massage to energize the lymphatic system, and cranial massages. The Holidermie brand offers personalized facial treatments with a holistic approach to beauty.

What do we particularly like? The flexibility of treatment durations: 25, 50 or 75 minutes; the Swedish bath and sauna outside, facing Mont Blanc.

And what else? Children are also welcome, and can enjoy a range of treatments and massages after a day on the slopes.

Good to know? There are two ways to access all the Spa of the Alpaga's facilities: stay at the hotel or take advantage of the Éveil Matinal package, which includes breakfast, 2 hours' spa access and a 50-minute customized massage.

Find out more about Alpaga?

A member of the Compagnie des Hôtels d'En Haut, Alpaga, just outside Megève, has all the feel of a small alpine village. 6. Les Thermes de Saint-Gervais | 20 minutes from Megève

The pitch? Nestled in a magnificent 10-hectare park, the Thermes de Saint-Gervais (Les Bains du Mont Blanc) offers a wellness experience in naturally warm, beneficial, thousand-year-old thermal water. This water, bursting with minerals and trace elements, was first exploited in 1807 and recognized by the Académie de Médecine. A succession of stages punctuate the itinerary: relaxation, saunas, hammams, salt grotto, ice fountain, sulphur water fountain, herbal tea room and discovery of the indoor and outdoor pools at the foot of the Bonnant gorge. Each workshop features unique experiences: visual, auditory...

What do we like best? This half-day interlude dedicated to fitness, which can be shared with family or friends, all in a splendid setting. Sports coaches and lifeguards introduce you to physical activities in thermal water: aqua thermal biking and aquafitness. The mineral density of Mont Blanc thermal water makes you float more easily, giving you a feeling of lightness that facilitates movement.

But also? Enjoy an original sensory experience through our various workshops!
