The setting
Five minutes from Beaune, set in six hectares of lush greenery planted with century-old trees, Hostellerie de Levernois is a chic and peaceful stopover for lovers of well-being and gastronomy. Blending classic architecture with contemporary touches, this Burgundy spa hotel, a member of Relais & Châteaux, offers 26 elegant rooms and suites in a soothing atmosphere. In the kitchen, Michelin-starred chef Philippe Augé honors local products, served in a luminous setting in the gastronomic restaurant, while in the bucolic Bistrot du Bord de l'Eau, he offers gourmet locavore cuisine.
The spa
The latest addition to Burgundy's wellness scene, the Hostellerie de Levernois spa occupies 700 m² of a meix, a traditional rural dwelling nestled between aromatic squares, lime trees, fruit trees and magnolia beds. Local artist Agathe Notteghem-Godot has painted frescoes on the walls of the reception area, bringing a fresh perspective to the Sisley universe. This floral explosion gives the impression of never having left the park, and immediately invites you to let go. Bathed in natural light, this bubble of well-being comprises four cabins, including 2 duo cabins, all with terraces for outdoor treatments. Named after plants such as the aromatic agastache, they exude a country atmosphere of oak, stone and dried flower bouquets. In addition to a hammam and sauna, the wet area includes a cold bath (14 degrees) inspired by Burgundy's stainless steel wine-making vats. Adorned with large bay windows, the indoor pool is extended by an outdoor whirlpool, reminiscent of the long swimming corridor in the park. An ideal hotel for a wellness break.
The concept
Alongside signature body massages, which can be tailored to your needs, the spa menu features Sisley rituals. Known for its phyto-aromatic treatments, which combine the power of naturally-derived plant extracts and essential oils, the partner brand specializes more in facials; hence the eight treatments, from Sisleÿa to Rose Repulpant, on the menu. But it also offers two phyto-aromatic body treatments and a brand-new Head Spa, featuring Hair Rituel by Sisley hair care products, which revitalize the scalp and nourish the hair.
The face experience
Soin Phyto-Aromatique Expert sur Mesure targets your skin's needs to help it regain its balance. After a quick diagnosis, the therapist uses the unctuous Lyslait, then the depolluting Mousse Crème Éclat and completes this double cleansing with the Flower Tonic. To eliminate dead cells and tighten pores, she applies the Enzymatic Exfoliating Mask for just one minute. On contact with water, this powder transforms into a creamy foam. This flash peel is followed by the Black Rose Mask-Cream, packed with anti-aging active ingredients that act on signs of fatigue. During this treatment, the practitioner uses mainly effleurage strokes, combined with drainage techniques, to revive microcirculation and relieve tension. In the final beauty treatment, she adds two must-have products to those adapted to each skin type: Émulsion Écologique revitalizing lotion and All Day, All Year cream. Like a top coat, this protective shield activates the skin's self-defense mechanisms. The result: a plumped, luminous complexion and a lasting sensation of freshness.
The body experience
Both relaxing and balancing, Soin Phyto-Aromatique Zen Harmony begins with a warm towel placed on the feet, inviting the body to relax and the mind to prepare for a sensory journey. Using a Sisley massage balm, rich in plant extracts and aromatic essences, the therapist begins with enveloping movements and stretching on the feet and legs to unlock tension. She then works on the abdomen with fuller, slower gestures in tune with the breath, as if the body were following the rhythm of an inner wave. For the arms, shoulders and back, where muscles are sometimes knotted, she alternates deep kneading, targeted pressure and smooth fluids. The nape of the neck and scalp are not forgotten. Imbued with the discreet scent of aromatic oils, the mind floats and the body regains its vitality.
