Hotels

The most beautiful luxury hotels in Corsica

From Calvi to Bonifacio, via the more confidential communes of Sartène and Lecci, Corsica is brimming with hotels whose splendor is matched only by that of its idyllic coves… In summer, or better still in May, June, September or October, head for the Isle of Beauty for a stay with a little taste of paradise.

With its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, lush vegetation and the intoxicating scents of its maquis, Corsica continues to establish itself as the most coveted destination for travelers in search of escape. To help you discover all its natural wonders during your stay, here is our selection of hotels in Corsica and our favorite addresses.

1. U Capu Biancu | Bonifacio

The pitch: a road winding through the maquis, twenty minutes from Bonifacio. At the end—or nearly so—lies U Capu Biancu, a 4-star hotel (well worth five stars), lovingly run by a passionate couple. The property has all the makings of a well-kept secret: nestled in stunning gardens, it overlooks the Gulf of Santa Manza and its two beaches. On this estate, which has retained its untamed charm, 39 rooms and suites, as well as five private villas, are scattered throughout to offer even more privacy. Because what people come here for, above all, is serenity.

You immediately sense that vacation-home vibe—bohemian, untamed, and authentic—which makes this a particularly welcoming hotel. The property is also committed to sustainability, holding Écolabel certification, and this commitment is reflected in its cuisine as well.

Most of the ingredients are local (when they don’t come directly from the permaculture garden) and, of course, seasonal. Both the jams and the cakes are homemade. But what truly sets the restaurant apart is its chef, Gadio El Hadji, who joyfully reimagines Corsican cuisine by skillfully incorporating a few flavors from his native Senegal. Of course, that doesn’t stop guests from indulging in Corsican cheeses and charcuterie, paired with an equally local wine. The menu features three appetizers, three main courses, and three desserts each day, with the selection changing daily.

In addition to the main restaurant, during the warmer months—from June through September—there’s a thatched-roof pavilion where bonfire evenings are held, all overlooking the bay, just a few steps from the small beaches. There are two of them, located right next to the hotel and otherwise inaccessible, surrounded by cliffs and scrubland. Each has its own unique atmosphere: lively and bustling in front of the thatched-roof pavilion, with a private dock where you can try your hand at kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding; more peaceful and perfect for daydreaming while lying on a canopy bed; or wild and secluded, perfect for a Robinson Crusoe-style getaway.

The spa, too, is discreet and intimate. It’s ideal for a couples’ massage infused with the scents of the maquis: Crena Care Cosmetics® products—100% natural and 100% Corsican—are also available in the guest rooms. An elevated pool, as sublime as a lagoon, plays with its curves and shades of blue. You can also enjoy a game of pool with friends or take a yoga class in the gym… And you’ll have to wait until Monday to hear the melancholy of some polyphonic songs echoing through the bar.

What are the rooms like? From rooms to suites offering superb views of the sea or the maquis, each one invites you to escape. All were designed by Sylvie Limongi, the owner—a treasure hunter and interior designer brimming with ideas—who draws inspiration from her travels as well as from Corsican tradition. No two rooms are alike, and each has its own unique feature: a private pool, a jacuzzi, a fireplace…

The eight superior rooms feature a terrace facing the open sea. Each is unique, distinguished by decor inspired by original themes: hunting, fishing, cooking, travel, and more. For families or groups of friends, the villas accommodate four to six people. One of them, equipped with a private pool, features two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and separate toilet. In the garden, a hammock swings between the trees; an outdoor kitchen with a plancha grill completes the setting. Vacation has truly begun.

Which room should you book? The Serena Junior Suite and the Davia Family Suite immediately come to mind. Completely renovated in 2025, the Davia Family Suite can accommodate up to four people in 65 m². Featuring two separate bedrooms, the Davia Suite also charms with its 16 m² terrace overlooking the sea and its private solarium.

We love: In October, the hotel offers a special program from morning to night: start the day gently with a yoga or Pilates session, continue with creative workshops, then set out to explore the surrounding landscapes by boat aboard the Boston Whaler. Some activities are available for an additional fee.

2. La Villa Calvi | One of Corsica's most beautiful hotels

Nestled in the heart of the Balagne region of Haute-Corse, La Villa Calvi is rightly considered one of Corsica's finest hotels. It's a nugget that the region owes to Jean-Pierre Pinelli, a local boy with a passion for the hotel business, his wife Marion and their two children Marie and Antoine, who are also involved in the hotel's management. In 1992, they inaugurated La Villa Calvi to offer travelers a peaceful retreat on the heights of the town. Passed into the Relais & Châteaux fold in 1995, the address boasts one of the most breathtaking views in the country. From the rooms, pool bar and restaurant, guests can take in the beauty of Calvi bay, its citadel and the backdrop of the Monte Grosso mountains.

Villa Prestige © La Villa Calvi

Transformed over the years into a veritable hotel complex, the address now offers some 45 rooms and suites, complemented by three independent villas with their own private swimming pools. All are decorated in a refined, modern style, punctuated here and there by contemporary works of art that help to anchor the luxurious, bohemian atmosphere of the place. At La Villa Calvi, everything is designed to ensure guests enjoy an exceptional stay.

Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in one of the 5 swimming pools, take advantage of the gym, hammam or Themae and Dermatologica spa, or take part in one of the original experiences concocted by La Villa to discover the different facets of the island and its emblematic flavors.

Staying on the Isle of Beauty is also a matter of gourmet delights. In the kitchens of the Table by La Villa, chef Fabio Volontè imagines dishes imbued with authenticity and virtuosity, such as langoustines in carpaccio, crudo of the day's fish served with radish, cucumber, citrus fruit, vinaigrette with bone juice and 12-year-aged soy sauce, and ravioli of lemon potato mousseline. Gourmet "beignet zucchini flowers" to savor while admiring the citadel dressed in the warm hues of dusk.

la Villa Calvi

Finally, La Villa Calvi has opened its own private beach on the bay's white sands. With crystal-clear water, thick mattresses and large umbrellas, complemented by a chic bistro-style dining experience (featuring Mediterranean cuisine based on local produce such as veal, beef and lamb reared on the estate, as well as locally caught fish and grilled lobster), it's hardly surprising that many stars, top sportsmen and renowned businessmen in search of a paradise destination can be found here.

We particularly like? The breathtaking view over the Bay of Calvi, but also the intimate, family atmosphere that reigns here, offering a new interpretation of luxury hotels.

3. Domaine le Mouflon d’Or | Zonza

Staying at Domaine le Mouflon d’Or allows you to feel as if you’re alone in the world within Corsica’s regional nature park, surrounded by the rocky mountains of Bavella. Although this property is the region’s first 5-star hotel, it remains an authentic, unpretentious, and family-run luxury hotel in Corsica. After a day of hiking along rugged trails or swimming in the Mediterranean, you can relax in one of the 20 rooms and suites, or in one of the estate’s two sheepfolds. Designed for families and groups of up to four people who want to enjoy hotel-style comfort while experiencing the privacy of home, two Caseddu cottages ranging from 100 to 110 m² are available for rent. Guests particularly enjoy relaxing on their terrace or in the heated outdoor pool.

Marble and crystal are the materials of choice, while the furniture—vintage and secondhand—is simple, chic, and natural. Nature is an integral part of the experience, from the light that streams in at all hours to the panoramic views of forests and rocky mountains.

4. Azzu Resort, by Le Collectionist

In Corsica, some prefer the privacy of a villa to the hustle and bustle of a luxury hotel. These are stunning, discreet homes featuring heated pools, Mediterranean gardens, and top-tier services. Yonder has selected a few of them—all tested and approved.

Green roofs, light-colored wooden walkways, a design that’s both graphic and seamlessly integrated into nature: like many properties selected by The Collectionist, Villa Azzu resembles a work of contemporary architecture more than a simple vacation home. Here, it’s all about balance—between solid and void, light and shadow, privacy and conviviality. Organized into eight independent modules, each featuring two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a private pool, the villa evokes a small, secluded hamlet perched above Pinarello Bay. In the morning, you wake up to the cool freshness of a light-filled bedroom, before diving into the turquoise water with a view of the sea. Then comes the time for a massage in the hammam, a moment of reading on the terrace, or a coffee in the garden… depending on your mood that day.

At the center, a spacious living area combines a lounge, an open kitchen, the main pool, and plush sofas—perfect for an evening aperitif. When it comes to activities, the Collectionist’s concierge service takes care of everything: a two-day catamaran cruise, a gourmet lunch in a secluded wilderness spot, a visit to a winery followed by a private dinner, or even a sunrise sailing lesson. A Corsican take on luxury—relaxed, exclusive, and always in harmony with nature.

What do we love most? Modular architecture so everyone has their own space, an ultra-responsive concierge service, and direct access to Pinarello Beach—one of the island’s most beautiful.

5. Villa Aria Serena, by Le Collectionist

The days stretch out gently here, like an endless summer. At Villa Aria Serena, part of the selection curated by The Collectionist—a leader in luxury home rentals—everything seems to flow naturally: the lines are clean, the spaces are airy, and the decor is characterized by an elegant minimalism that allows light to take center stage. And what light… that of southern Corsica—raw yet golden—which is sometimes filtered through wooden blinds to make it more inviting. It feels like a designer retreat, except that it is, in fact, a home, designed to bring people together. Six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a massive 20-meter pool, a well-tended Mediterranean garden, a terrace where breakfasts and long meals are enjoyed beneath the bougainvilleas, and above all, a breathtaking view of the sparkling sea.

Villa Aria Serena © Le Collectionist

In the morning, some will set out to explore the beaches of Palombaggia or embark on a boat trip; others will opt for a surfing lesson or a trip to the gym. In the evening, the more adventurous will head out for dinner at a winery, while the kids will improvise a game of pétanque as they watch the sky turn pink. We linger, we breathe, we share. Here, luxury is the simple joy of spending quality time with your loved ones.

What sets it apart? The villa’s contemporary spirit, its absolute tranquility, and the bespoke experiences orchestrated by the concierge service: a two-day catamaran cruise, a gourmet picnic in a secret spot, dinner on the hillside… The Isle of Beauty in all its splendor.

7. Domaine de Murtoli | Between Sartène and Figari

Spread over more than 2,500 hectares, nestled in the Ortolo valley, the estate consists of a farmhouse offering rooms and suites, and 20 "bergeries", which hide behind their rustic facades an ultra-refined décor. Real villas for rent in Corsica. A jewel cut off from the rest of the world, where time seems to have stood still, and which therefore cultivates a certain idea of the gentle way of life: while each room is equipped with every comfort and much more, there's no need to consider ordering room service in the middle of the night, "end of the world" obliges. When it comes to gastronomy, Domaine de Murtoli offers its guests three restaurants: Table de la Grotte, Table de la Plage and Table de la Ferme, the Michelin-starred restaurant featuring local cuisine enhanced by products from the estate: olive oil, wine, a vast vegetable garden, eggs from the organic henhouse, lamb, veal and beef raised on the property...
