Méribel’s best restaurants
The prestigious resort of Méribel boasts a wealth of gastronomic diversity. From trendy addresses to Michelin-starred restaurants, discover our five favorite restaurants in Méribel.

1. The Resto, at the Hotel Le Savoy
Not far from the slopes, in the heart of the village of Méribel, the Hotel Le Savoy is a popular establishment, as much for its location as for its warm atmosphere. The magnificent chalet in which the Méribel hotel-restaurant is housed is tastefully decorated in the spirit of the mountains, with a touch of acidity. Fuchsia, violet and orange mingle with wood and stone, from the living areas to the bedrooms. While the 38-key night space is modern and comfortable, it's the communal areas, particularly the bar and restaurant, that catch our eye.
On the kitchen side, Le Resto unveils its large, convivial tables under a superb cathedral ceiling. The décor is minimalist and elegant, leaving guests to appreciate the creative menu expressed in colorful, graphic plates. Summer and winter alike, the dishes are innovative, and honor the flavors of the world. Mimosa eggs with wasabi rub shoulders with octopus and coriander sauce, or Italian pasta, sometimes in a Savoyard version, such as tartiflette gnocchi on a smooth Reblochon cream. Gourmets will save a little room for ultra-regressive desserts.
The open fire of this 4-star hotel invites you to relax after a long day in the fresh air, and you'll be happy to enjoy a hot drink and a giant cookie to share (or not) as a snack. If you'd rather wait until aperitif time, the cocktail menu is sure to please: from signature creations to great classics, Le Savoy's bar has made a name for itself thanks to a team of expert mixologists. It's the ideal creative address to satisfy the most exotic cravings, even at altitude!

2. L'Ekrin, at the Hôtel Le Kaïla
The resort's only Michelin star shines soberly on the doorstep of L'Ekrin, where chef Laurent Azoulay has been working for over 10 years. Hosted in the 5-star hotel Le Kaïla, this Méribel restaurant blends the culinary influences of Provence and Savoie, regions and flavors that have shaped the chef's cuisine. The dishes are bold and daring, like the half-sea, half-lake bouillabaisse or the surprising encounter between Gariguette strawberries and wild garlic. The raw materials selected speak volumes about the Ekrin's commitment to excellence and to working in short circuits. The room, both intimate and enveloping with its small open alcoves, lends itself equally well to a tête-à-tête or a meal with friends. A prestigious setting that opens up new horizons for high-altitude haute cuisine.

3. La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel
One thing's for sure: La Folie Douce is a place of grandeur. This restaurant-bar-club-cabaret is one of the 3 Vallées ski area's flagship addresses. Located at the Saulire intermediate station, and accessible on skis or on foot, La Folie Douce Méribel adds a whole new dimension to lunch on the slopes. DJ sets, polished choreography and stage costumes punctuate the meal, almost overshadowing a menu that is far from ordinary. Red tuna tartare, truffle cream pizza, Gillardeau oysters and Wagyu beef burgers are all on the menu, almost making you forget you're at an altitude of 2,100m. It's the Méribel restaurant to count on for a top-flight lunch on the slopes or an extraordinary après-ski experience.

4. La Fromagerie, Méribel restaurant
A Méribel institution, La Fromagerie has all the hallmarks of a typical family restaurant, promising a convivial, gourmet experience. As you enter through the crèmerie, don't be surprised to be invited down to the basement, where the magic happens. In the dining room, from the decor to the furniture, there's nothing lacking in mountain charm: skis, photos and vintage posters do honor to the 40 years of existence of this Méribel restaurant. And the menu is not to be outdone: raclettes and fondues are based on local, Swiss or Jura cheeses, leaving it up to the connoisseur to choose from the various subtleties.
The list of cheese specialties is complete, and for those with a small appetite, the salads are sure to please. The wine list also pays tribute to local know-how, with a selection of Savoy wines. A lovely, unpretentious address from which to emerge with a lighter heart (but a slightly less satisfied stomach).

5. Le Cèpe
Up in the hills, away from the town center and along the road leading to the altiport, Méribel's Le Cèpe restaurant offers a welcoming setting for a meal reminiscent of a stroll through the undergrowth. Here, the eponymous mushroom takes pride of place and, on the terrace with its unobstructed view, is enjoyed in all its forms. Chef Alain Plouzané is no novice, and he knows how to sublimate his favorite ingredient in sometimes highly inventive recipes, such as the cep cappuccino, cep and snail French toast, and even a sweet version, the "Mont Blanc" of cep glazed with candied chestnuts. While the mushroom is king, there's also room for a few mountain specialties, fish and meat. A meal that delights all the senses.
