2. Hotel Le Savoy, Méribel

Le Savoy is perhaps the most central four-star hotel in Méribel, just 50 meters from the slopes and a stone's throw from the tourist office. With a total of 38 keys, this seasonal Alpine boutique hotel is appreciated for its warm, family atmosphere, where wood combines with colorful fabrics and designer furniture. Some of the rooms - with their clean, vibrant decor - offer a panoramic view of the valley from their south-facing windows. 5. La Bouitte, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville

This magnificent chalet in the heart of the Belleville valley was built by René Meilleur, son of a cabinetmaker and farmer, and his wife Marie-Louise. Since 1976, this family-run, 5-star establishment has been perpetuating Savoyard art, with objects with a patina of age, a warm welcome and a chic mountain style fashioned over two generations. 6. Alpes Hôtel du Pralong, Courchevel

Nestled in the mountains of the prestigious Courchevel 1850 resort, this 3 Vallées hotel has been given a makeover by the Dokhan Luxury Hotels group.
