Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens: the best view in the 3 Vallées?

In Europe’s highest resort, a hotel is shaking up Alpine codes. The spirit of F7? Impertinent, offbeat and festive. There’s no fuss here, just a cool atmosphere, comfort and a vintage look that make this a one-of-a-kind refuge.

The pitch?

This disruptive mountain concept, also based in Courchevel, is the brainchild of passionate hotel owners Véronique and Stéphane Vidoni. Their idea? To offer a relaxed 4-star hotel to enhance the resort's already extensive 5-star offering (Le Koh-I-Nor, l'Altapura, le Pashmina and le Fitz Roy), with quality services and a polished après-ski ambience: that's the DNA of Fahrenheit Seven.

What's a hotel like?

What if, before cosy rooms, the signature feature of a hotel in the Alps was its ski room? At the Fahrenheit Seven in Val Thorens, this highly strategic location ticks all the boxes, and then some. Just imagine: a 200 m² carpeted and heated area, with plush sofas, ventilated personal lockers, a rental store with online pre-booking and a ski bar where you can toast after a hard day's skiing. But above all: direct access to the slopes. All you have to do is glide down to the 3 Vallées ski lifts.

But that's not the hotel's only asset. Another highlight is the decor, which turns convention on its head, preferring designer pieces to carved wooden chests. How refreshing! If it weren't for the white peaks, you'd think you were in London or Amsterdam. The same goes for the restaurant. Gone are the fondues and croziflette, replaced by ultra-fresh meats and vegetables and plates that hit the spot, to be enjoyed on the 300m2 terrace overlooking the peaks. Renowned for its demanding music program, the hotel attracts lovers of good sound. At the Le Zinc bar, the evening continues with electro stars from Pedro Winter to Vladimir Cauchemar.

What are the rooms like?

Divided into two wings, the 108 rooms, ranging in size from 23 to 46 m², offer a pleasant view, whatever their orientation. Duck blue and mustard yellow make up a decor that retains a mountain spirit, with the unmistakable faux-fur cushions. Special mention must go to the Marshall speakers, as aesthetically pleasing as they are functional, adding an instant retro touch.

The room to book?

Self-proclaimed "the most beautiful balcony in Val Thorens", the Top Floor suite sleeps four (one double bed, bunk beds) and is located on the top floor of the building, one of the highest points in the resort.

What's important to remember?

An unmissable address that blends in perfectly with its surroundings, offering the best conditions for enjoying both the joys of skiing and the festive evenings that are also part of the experience. If you're looking for peace and quiet, don't bother. Here, the atmosphere is resolutely lively, and après-ski is lived with intensity.
