Paris: the best hotels in the 7th arrondissement
What are the best hotels in the 7th arrondissement, the crossroads of art and power that cultivates its chic in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower? Our selection of the best hotels located between the Champ-de-Mars alleys, the Hôtel des Invalides and the quays of the Seine.

1. Le Cinq Codet | A 5-star residential setting
The setting? Between the gold of the Dôme des Invalides and the uniforms of the École Militaire, the peaceful rue Louis Codet (a Parisian dandy and writer at the turn of the century) is home to the hotel of the same name, a 5-star hotel of the finest effect. The lively shopping streets of Rue Clerc and Rue de Grenelle are just some of the assets of this corner of Paris's chicest arrondissement.
Style? Renowned interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel (Hôtel Molitor, InterContinental Marseille and Lyon, Sofitel Rome...) has sublimated the Art Deco setting of this former 1930s telephone exchange, a rare heritage in the capital: geometric bay windows or rounded façades in stretched concrete evoking the prow of an ocean liner. In keeping with the spirit of artists' studios, the master builder optimized the high ceilings and oversized volumes. Dressed in light oak, the rooms feature harmonious designer furnishings.

The gastronomic offer? The Left Bank style characterizes the ambiance of the Chiquette restaurant - inspired by Louis Codet's book La Petite Chiquette - orchestrated by chef David Maroleau. California, Asia, Mexico... His cosmopolitan cuisine is a gourmet waltz of flavors. Bonus: a menu renewed every two months, a wine cellar at the entrance to the restaurant, lit up in winter by an open fire, and a brunch, every Saturday and Sunday, which has earned a reputation as one of the best in Paris, with a large creative sweet and savoury buffet.
As an extension of the restaurant, Le Cinq Codet opens onto a light-filled, loft-like patio, where you can sip a cocktail in the lounge bar on comfortable 30's-inspired sofas and round tables with purple porphyry tops, all by Italian designer Minotti.
Wellness? A full-service spa with hammam, outdoor Jacuzzi, double massage room and fitness room. Another whirlpool bath welcomes you on the open-air terrace, ultra Zen with its swing and bamboo walls.
How many keys? 67 rooms, including 16 Duplex rooms! Four majestic suites - Rodin, Codet, Eiffel and Dôme - with breathtaking views of the glittering Iron Lady.
Who's it for? Anyone looking for a Parisian pied-à-terre that's both an intimate cocoon and a contemporary address.
What makes the difference? The spaciousness and clarity of the Art Deco style, complemented by an abundant art collection. 400 modern works, paintings, sculptures, furniture and photographs are scattered throughout the hotel.
Where to find us? Between the Invalides and the École Militaire, close to the Champ-de-Mars. The Eiffel Tower, Rodin Museum and Grand Palais are all within walking distance.

2. Le Narcisse Blanc Hôtel & Spa | Sobriety and well-being
Looking for a bubble of calm near the esplanade des Invalides and the Alexandre III bridge? In this Haussmann building on Boulevard de la Tour-Maubourg, Le Narcisse Blanc Hôtel & Spa boasts thirty rooms and seven suites, where glamour meets refined classicism. The boudoir atmosphere, with its Olympian volumes, is reflected in a refined décor punctuated by satin fabrics, sand and champagne cameos and subtle evocations of the Belle Époque. All around, a garden terrace reserved for guests offers a suspended, out-of-sight space in which to enjoy a drink or leaf through a book.

Designers Laurent & Laurence, with decorators Thierry Martin and Thibaut Fron, have fused Art Nouveau, Art Deco influences and Art Moderne touches to create an airy, chic and discreet universe: delicate moldings, curved furniture lines, choice of noble materials (velvet, tweed, duchesse satin), declining tones of cream, powder pink, sand and ash. Cléo de Mérode's muse breathes life into every detail, with pictorial nods like the hand-painted narcissi on the headboards or the evocation of her nickname "Joli petit narcisse" in the identity of the place.
The 7 suites, some with marble fireplaces, others with plant-covered terraces or panoramic views over Paris, breathe a sense of contemporary cocoon into every room. In the basement, the spa is a veritable parenthesis. With its glass-roofed swimming pool, whirlpool bath, sauna, starlit hammam, ice fountain and Anne Semonin treatments in an intimate cabin, it's an invitation to let go, enhanced by the mineral elegance of the space. A discreet, fully-equipped fitness area completes the picture. On the food side, the Cléo restaurant offers fine, expressive cuisine d'auteur, served in a room bathed in light. One Sunday a month, the signature roast chicken reminds us that comfort can also be found at the table.

3. J.K. Place Paris | The select address on the Left Bank
After its world-famous residences in Capri, Florence and Rome, Italian hotel chain J.K. Place opened its doors in early 2020 on the edge of Boulevard Saint-Germain, a stone's throw from the Palais Bourbon and the Musée d'Orsay. Florentine designer and interior architect Michele Bönan is responsible for the interiors of this 5-star luxury hotel, one of the most exclusive in Paris. His interpretation of luxury? Eclectic design and singular theatricality: black and white marble checkerboard, lacquered wood, white stone busts. The 29 keys (including 13 suites) blend Italian chic with French refinement. Under the veranda in the small courtyard, the Casa Tua restaurant (also present in Miami Beach and Aspen in the U.S.) offers northern Italian specialties.

What makes the difference? The spa with hammam, sauna and heated pool, one of the finest on the Left Bank.

82 rue de Lille, 75007 Paris
4. Hôtel d'Orsay (Esprit de France) | A home steeped in art and history
For over 25 years, Esprit de France has combined "spirit of place" with a prime location. Just a stone's throw from the Musée d'Orsay and the Jardin des Tuileries - which can be reached on foot in just a few minutes via the Léopold Sédar-Senghor footbridge - four figurative sculptures adorn the facade of a handsome 18th-century building. Its collection of more than 40 authentic paintings echoes those of the neighboring Musée d'Orsay. This 4-star establishment offers 42 unique rooms, decorated with period furniture and works of art.

What makes the difference? A unique location overlooking the Musée d'Orsay and the Pont Alexandre III.

93 rue de Lille, 75007 Paris
5. Hôtel Thoumieux | A real cosy nest
Ideal for a romantic getaway, Hôtel Thoumieux nestles in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, between Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. Queen of mix and match, star decorator India Mahdavi has reinvented this legendary building from the Roaring Twenties with Art Deco wallpaper, bamboo, lacquered wood and leather. The result is a sensual atmosphere reminiscent of a bucolic residence. While the gastronomic restaurant of double Michelin-starred chef Sylvestre Wahida has sadly closed its doors, hard hit by the health crisis, Brasserie Thoumieux is still going strong.

Hôtel Thoumieux
15 rooms, from €200 per night.
79 rue Saint-Dominique, 75007 Paris
6. Hôtel Lutetia | The quintessential Parisian address
The only official "Palace" hotel on the Left Bank, this 1910 landmark of the Boucicaut family has just been renovated by starchitect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The crème de la crème of the profession has preserved the hotel's heritage and brought it into the 21st-century, with a particular focus on ecology. The mythical décor, at the crossroads of Art Deco and Art Nouveau, has been brought to the fore, with 1930s furniture and a bathtub carved out of marble. The omnipresence of eucalyptus wood, varnished and darkened in the style of Riva canoes, contrasts with the 184 brightly-lit rooms and suites.

What makes the difference? The Josephine bar and its immense fresco by Adrien Karbowsky, which took 17,000 hours to renovate!
Hôtel Lutetia
184 rooms and suites, from €650 a night.
45 Boulevard Raspail, 75006 Paris
7. Hotel Montalembert | So Rive Gauche!
A haven for artists and writers, inseparable from the literary history of Saint Germain-des-Prés since 1926, this 5-star boutique hotel next door to the Gallimard publishing house was given a makeover in 2016. Architect-decorator Pascal Allaman enhanced and refreshed its old-fashioned soul: aged brass, vintage elevator, dark wood parquet flooring, wild silk curtains, orange leather draped seats. In short, a very Parisian ambience in the 50 rooms (including 10 suites), which combine luxury and technology. The restaurant and bar extend the cocooning experience with refined cuisine and creative cocktails, sipped by the fireplace.

Good to know? In a room at the Hotel Montalembert, the Suite Maison Flamel is dedicated to art, design and, in particular, well-being, offering a range of treatments, exclusive products for daily use and facial care rituals.
