We slept in the private apartment of the Tour d’Argent, with the best view of Notre-Dame de Paris

Notre-Dame renovated and reopened? Do you dream of coming to Paris to visit this refurbished Gothic jewel? There’s a unique place from which to admire the cathedral and treat yourself to a moment out of time: the Appartement de la Tour d’Argent, a veritable ode to refinement and the French art of living.
The pitch | Mythical apartment... with a view!
Perched on the fifth floor of the building owned by the Terrail family, owners of the Tour d'Argent, on the corner of Quai de la Tournelle and Rue du Cardinal Lemoine in Paris's 5th arrondissement, Appartement Augusta is located just below the famous restaurant. A luxury pied-à-terre designed by architect Franklin Azzi, you can sleep in one of the formulas devised by the Tour d'Argent. Either the simple provision of the apartment, including breakfast service at the Bar des Maillets d'Argent on the first floor, or a full day including lunch at the gourmet restaurant, overnight accommodation, round-trip transfer in a chauffeur-driven car, a bottle of Grand Cru Champagne and various experiences ranging from a cooking class with Michelin-starred chef Yannick Francques to wine tasting in the establishment's legendary cellar. The perfect way to celebrate a special occasion, wedding night or anniversary.
What's the apartment like?
Vast: over 150 square meters all to yourself, right in the center of Paris! But the service begins with a chauffeur picking you up in a luxury DS 9 with the Tour d'Argent logo at your home, office, train station or plane. As you sink into the vehicle's plush seats, it's immediately clear that you're in for a great day! When you arrive at the bottom of the building, your pulse races. The majestic white façade makes an impact, while the long glass roofs of this emblematic sanctuary of good living and good eating, with over 60 years of three Michelin stars, can be seen at the very top.

As soon as you step out of the car, Nejma, the dedicated hostess and organizer of your stay, welcomes you. She hands you your access badges and guides you to the private entrance. The elevator leads to the 5th floor. The door opens, revealing a vast, luminous living room. Suddenly, you're in the perfect Parisian apartment, the kind you'd like to have all year round. With its warm, modern decor, designer furniture, works of art and warm tones, the space breaks away from fashion to reveal a singular universe. Passing the blue ceramic tile portrait by Maximilien Pellet, you enter the room, which opens onto a sumptuous bedroom on the right. On the other side, a sitting area with a large sofa. And above, the highlight of the show, a bow window revealing Notre-Dame, Ile de la Cité and the Seine. The view is breathtaking, one of the most seductive in Paris.
How's the room?
Hypnotic. From the cozy bed, crafted in precious natural materials by Treca, to the window that borders it and offers a view of Paul Landowski's monumental statue of Sainte Geneviève, the space is adorned in soft white and beige tones. A dream is about to come true, that of being able to watch the Seine and its lights at night, snug and comfortable. Above the bed, we notice a dark glass opening. As you enter the bathroom, you realize that a sauna has been installed above the bed, with a direct view of ... Notre-Dame! In short, more than a room, an exceptional Suite, unusual and unique, ideal for a romantic weekend. Claude Terrail's famous motto "To invite someone is to take care of their happiness for as long as they are under your roof" suddenly reveals its full meaning.
Dinner or lunch at the Tour d'Argent
Naturally, we'll take advantage of a night at the Appartement to head one floor up to discover the grandly renovated Parisian restaurant. First of all, the setting has been modernized with a monumental new ceiling made of interlocking aluminum plates. A contemporary kitchen opens onto the dining room. The furniture and carpets have been replaced, enhancing artist Antoine Carbonne's colorful 2 x 4 meter XXL fresco of a fantasized Paris, as a preamble to the exceptional floor-to-ceiling panoramic view of the City of Light.

Notre-Dame, of course, but also the river, the quays, the islands... The Tour d'Argent's fantastic location makes it a rare venue in Paris.
Last but not least, the cuisine of Yannick Franques, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and currently awarded a Michelin star, skilfully combines the heritage of the historic table with the tastes of the times. Seasonal products make an appearance, with autumn ceps served sautéed and in consommé, and beautiful scallops coated in a cracker of roasted seeds, amidst a succession of modernized traditional dishes: pike-perch quenelle, fillet of sole Sully...and finally, the famous ducks, served either à la royale, "au fil du temps" or in a "Clovis" version, specially prepared for the rebuilding of the cathedral. Special mention goes to the gourmet sauces and juices, the quality of the products and the cooking techniques that enhance them. The meal is well worth the trip, and the sommelier's advice is particularly convincing, given the exceptional choice of... over 300,000 bottles!
Good to know?
The roof of the building has been completely redesigned after 2 years of work, and now boasts a wonderful rooftop, which can be privatized and opened at aperitif time. L'Appartement guests can access it on request. Of course, the view over Paris is unique.

From €1,800 per night, breakfast included. Package at €2,800 for 2 people, including overnight stay at the Appartement, 2 meals at the gourmet restaurant, a bottle of Grand Cru Champagne, round-trip transfer and a "Gold" experience,
