The most beautiful hotels for a romantic weekend in France

A selection of beautiful hotels in the four corners of France, offering a maximum of attractions for a romantic weekend away. Follow the guide to prepare your next getaway for two.

1. Loire Valley Lodges, a romantic weekend surrounded by art and nature

The Loire Valley Lodges eco-responsible hotel, nestled in a 300-hectare private forest less than two hours from Paris, near Tours, embodies a perfect harmony of nature, art and intimacy. Perched four meters high, each luxury lodge offers an exceptional cocoon, each different from the next. These thirty-five-square-meter spaces, bathed in light thanks to large bay windows (a technical feat that could even be described as an entire wall of glass), are decorated by contemporary artists and offer an inspiring atmosphere. On the terrace, which extends the interior by 25 m2, a Jacuzzi invites you to enjoy moments together in the heart of nature. All you have to do is lift the cover, which keeps the water nice and warm, even at night. In the evening, a hot bath under a starry sky becomes an unforgettable experience in this "digital detox" refuge, devoid of wifi and television. And the question on everyone's mind? Yes, there's a full bathroom with hot water.

Moments of well-being continue with duo massages in the lodges or on the terraces. Essential oils are blended from local essences, enhancing the authenticity of these moments, during which practitioners even use branches, pieces of wood, bark or leaves to stimulate hearing and touch. The treatment menu features several treatments, including the Deep Bee massage, made with beeswax from the hotel's own beehives and vegetable oil. Walks in the forest or a break under a hundred-year-old oak tree add a poetic dimension to the experience for two. For the more curious, the monumental sculpture trail offers an artistic stroll through the countryside. Works of art include a bronze by Philippe Pasqua, a totem pole by Aurèle and an angel by Michel Audiard.

The pleasure of the senses continues at the Ardent gourmet restaurant, where chef Thomas Besnault offers refined, local cuisine with his "Carte Blanche" menu in four, six or eight courses. The Asperatus restaurant, meanwhile, offers Mediterranean cuisine prepared 4-handed by chef Eliott Cherreau and Carla Rebeiz, founder of the Lebanese restaurant Eats Thyme Paris.

What makes the difference? For a touch of adventure, you can take a bike ride, provided by the hotel, or enjoy a Nordic bath (winter only) heated to forty degrees.
