Address book of Deauville’s finest hotels. From waterfront luxury hotels to charming Anglo-Norman style hotels, the seaside resort is a seaside interlude just 2 hours from Paris.

1. Hôtel Barrière Le Royal Deauville, sea view
Located on the shores of the English Channel, Hôtel Barrière Le Royal dominates the coastline from the top of its 1900s-style building. Inaugurated in 1913 by Eugène Cornuché, this majestic edifice catches the eye with its neo-Norman half-timbered architecture and monumental volumes on the Promenade des Planches. A true icon of style, Deauville's spa hotel was designed to surpass European luxury standards, attracting international aristocracy, equestrian stars and world cinema icons from the moment it opened. Deauville quickly established itself as a leading seaside destination.

The 5-star hotel offers 217 rooms and 30 suites, decorated in the splendor of French châteaux, with silky fabrics and carved four-poster beds. The Suite Royale, a 100 m2 jewel, offers a panoramic view of the sea horizon and features a private lounge with period moldings, complemented by a marble bathroom equipped with a sensory shower. The Deluxe Sea Suites, 50 m2 in size, combine modern comfort and heritage, with king-size bedding and discreet domotics that allow you to contemplate the sunset without leaving your pillow.

The hotel nicknamed the Prince of Deauville has also established itself as an undisputed leader in the resort thanks to its range of facilities. The spa is an enclave of well-being, comforting in summer and winter alike, with a year-round outdoor pool heated to 28°C and exclusive treatment protocols by Biologique Recherche. Facilities include a Scandinavian sauna and a mother-of-pearl hammam, as well as a fitness room equipped with the latest cardio-training technology for the sportiest guests.
In addition to the spa, the hotel offers privileged access to Deauville's famous tennis courts and bicycles for exploring the seafront. On the dining front, the Le Côté Royal brasserie, led by chef Éric Provost, celebrates Normandy's terroir under crystal chandeliers, with, for example, fillet of grilled sea bream or ballotine of farmhouse poultry with morel mushrooms, cooked at low temperature.

2. Hôtel Barrière Le Normandy Deauville, the institution
Inaugurated in the summer of 1912, a year before its sister hotel on the Côte, Le Normandy ranks as the Barrière group's founding masterpiece. With its emerald half-timbered facades and peppered roofs, it remains without doubt the finest example of this generation of hotels born at the dawn of the last century. This Anglo-Norman manor house, designed by architect Théo Petit, was the setting for the legendary film Un homme et une femme, forever anchoring the romanticism of its courtyards in the collective memory.

Under the attic and wood panelling, the hotel houses 271 rooms and suites, where decorator Nathalie Ryan has reinvented the famous Toile de Jouy to create a setting of hushed modernity. The 50 m2 Un homme et une femme suite, a veritable sanctuary, pays homage to the seventh art with its original film stills and plunging view of the French gardens. Family suites, up to 100 m2, feature spacious walk-in closets, double bathrooms with traditional earthenware tiles, and separate lounges where Louis XVI-style furniture meets invisible high-tech comfort.

Like Le Royal Deauville, Le Normandy is distinguished by its leisure facilities in the heart of the seaside resort. The spa, in collaboration with Maison Biologique Recherche, offers a tailor-made approach to dermocosmetics in a soothing 300 m2 setting. Guests enjoy a heated indoor pool under a luminous glass roof, a hydromassage jet trail and a yoga area dedicated to serenity. The experience is rounded off by direct access to the legendary Deauville Casino via a private underground passageway and the Studio by Petit VIP, an edutainment area for young travelers, making the hotel a forerunner in family luxury.

At the Belle Époque restaurant in Deauville, the splendor of the banquets of yesteryear is revived under a huge glass dome surrounded by restored frescoes. The menu features signature creations such as scallops with seaweed butter or the legendary mille feuille praliné, a veritable institution of the house. Tasting these dishes in a setting steeped in history captures the very essence of Deauville: a blend of sport-chic and elegance that never falters.
