Where to go in September in the sun?

August is drawing to a close, but you’d like to extend your summer? From Ibiza to South Corsica, from Mauritius to Dubai, head for one of our carefully selected destinations, where the sun awaits you to extend your vitamin D cure.

1. In Mauritius: Constance Prince Maurice

The flagship of the Constance Hotels & Resorts group, this 5-star hotel is anchored in the northeast of the island in a 60-hectare paradise between forest and ocean. The 76 suites and 13 villas - in a local style admirably revisited by architect Jean Mac Eyraud - are set amidst mangroves and lush vegetation. From the terrace of the floating Le Barachois restaurant, offering fusion cuisine, guests can watch dazzling sunsets. The hotel's infinity pool seems to spill out into the lagoon, where water sports activities are available. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the two 18-hole golf courses located close to the resort and available to guests.

The 110 villas are divided into three categories and decorated with driftwood, bamboo and wicker. 4. In Dubai: Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab

In Dubai, there are few hotels that make the locals themselves look up. The Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, a 5-star hotel in Dubai, is one of them. With its slender silhouette and glass façade shimmering like a yacht hull in the sun, it marks the arrival of a new hotel monument between the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach. Designed by Shaun Killa, architect of the Museum of the Future, it is inspired by maritime lines to create an impression of movement, as if the building were splitting the waves. Upon entering, a light-filled lobby welcomes a monumental work of art composed of 1,500 hand-blown crystals - a prelude to a décor in which deep blue, ivory and mother-of-pearl echo the ocean. The 386 rooms and suites, all with panoramic terraces, open onto the horizon or the Burj Al Arab, while the restaurant, spa and exclusive experiences extend this marine immersion. What if this was the best idea for a September holiday in the sun?
