Château de Théoule, the new 5-star jewel on the Côte d’Azur
This spring, Château de Théoule, the first Maison Millésime on the Riviera, opens its doors. Visit in pictures.
Château de Théoule, three key points to remember
- Built in 1630, this former soap factory, fed by the region's olive groves, was first a private home and then a vacation resort, before being converted by the Millésime group into a magnificent hotel in Théoule-sur-Mer. This hotel collection is already known for La Palmeraie in La Baule, Château Léognan near Bordeaux and La Villa des Orangers in Marrakech. Here, overlooking the sparkling bay of Cannes, this new luxury Côte d'Azur establishment with 44 keys, two restaurants, four bars, a spa, a rooftop and a private beach, awaits its guests in the heart of the Massif de l'Esterel.
- Rooms and suites at Château de Théoule are divided between the Art Deco Villa, the Château and the Maison des Pêcheurs. All boast breathtaking views over the Bay of Cannes. The Château features suites (up to 76 m²) and 13 spacious rooms (up to 60 m²), each named after a fragrance linked to its history: La Fleur de Jasmin, L'Écossais, L'Eau de Reine, Numéro 5 de Chanel, La Source... The Villa, recently renovated with noble materials, boasts a 1930s Art Deco style inspired by the French Riviera, and overlooks the outdoor swimming pool. Its 21 spacious rooms all have either a terrace or a balcony overlooking the sea. For a more intimate experience, the Maison des Pêcheurs features three rooms with terraces, two of which benefit from a unique location overlooking the marina.
- In terms of cuisine, the 5-star hotel offers two tables orchestrated by chefs Nicolas Boucher and Francesco Fezza. At gourmet restaurant Mareluna gourmet restaurant, guests can savour Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, where chef Francesco shares his Italian roots while combining them with the flavours of the region: cuttlefish tagliatelle or Provence snails for starters, wild turbot or scialatelli with sea cicada... On the private beach, La Plage Blanche boasts a relaxed atmosphere, highlighting seasonal cuisine.
