Hotels where to celebrate Easter with the family
Easter, with its procession of sunny mornings, gardens in bloom and chocolate hidden in the bushes, deserves to be celebrated as it should be. For families who want to make the most of the Easter weekend, a number of major hotels have taken up the challenge. Egg hunts, floral displays, spring brunches: these 5 addresses understand that enchantment can’t be improvised.

The egg hunt, the great Easter weekend ritual
Before getting to the heart of the matter, let's remind ourselves of what makes every child's heart beat during the Easter weekend: the egg hunt. This tradition, inherited from Germanic countries and popularized in the 19th century, is based on a simple, inexhaustible promise: a garden to explore, a cache to unearth, a chocolate treasure hidden under a leaf or behind a tree trunk. In the grand hotels that have adopted it, it has become a ritual in its own right: a park marked out with satin ribbon, chocolate eggs from master confectioners, entertainers in bunny costumes and small wicker baskets handed out on arrival.
1. Barrière bets on Debeaulieu's floral universe
For the Easter weekend of 2026, the Barrière group is pulling out all the stops, entrusting the transformation of two of its most emblematic hotels to one of the most desirable floral houses in Paris: Debeaulieu. The name may not mean much to the uninitiated - yet it's been on everyone's lips since Pierre Banchereau opened his first boutique on rue Henri Monnier, in the 9th arrondissement, in 2013.

Founded with the ambition of going beyond the simple flower store, Debeaulieu has developed a truly plastic approach to floral composition, using fashion, art, design and architecture as its toolbox.Pierre Banchereau has consigned round, monochrome bouquets to the closet of good taste, restoring the lustre of old-fashioned flowers - gladioli, ranunculus, dahlias, carnations - in country scenes revisited in painterly colors. His talent soon led him to collaborate with such prestigious fashion houses as Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Kenzo, making Debeaulieu an essential reference at the crossroads of plants and luxury.

It's this vision that Barrière has chosen to dress up its spaces from April 4 to 6, 2026, around a common theme: the secret garden. Each hotel has adapted the idea in its own way. In Deauville, Le Normandy - whose bar was once frequented by Coco Chanel and Winston Churchill - is transformed into an enchanted meadow: field flowers, tall grasses and a palette of yellow and green tones evoke the Normandy countryside as spring awakens. In La Baule, L'Hermitage plays a completely different "land and sea" score, with vibrant arrangements of tulips, hyacinths, muscaris and daffodils that greet families as soon as they arrive in the lobby.
Beyond the scenography, the weekend is intended to be participative. On April 4 and 5, flower arrangement workshops will be offered to customers staying in both establishments - an opportunity to learn how to assemble varieties and nuance tones under the guidance of Debeaulieu teams, and to leave with your own creation. Parent-child gardening workshops complete the program. To round off the experience in style, a signature mocktail with floral notes is served in the historic bars of both hotels all weekend long. As for the egg hunt, it takes place in the gardens of each establishment, accompanied by Petit VIP children's clubs who look after the little ones while parents take a breather.

The former summer residence of Empress Eugénie, this Biarritz hotel overlooks the Grande Plage with the quiet authority of a century and a half of history and a panoramic view of the Atlantic. For Easter, the hotel is rolling out a program to match its Second Empire decor: an imperial brunch served in the Rotonde room - including a panoramic view of the ocean -, an egg hunt in the gardens that stretch between sky and sea, and creative workshops for children to make their own festive chocolates. The pastry chef's Easter tea time, a family favorite for years, completes a program that's as much about tradition as it is about refinement. The Californian pool with heated seawater and the Kids Club offer a variety of pleasures between two tastings - and for the grown-ups, the Spa Impérial Guerlain is just a stone's throw away.
